Avital Beauty – Makeup & Photoshoot FUN!

Belle and Avital, of Avital Beauty Lounge in Walnut Creek, invited me out yesterday for a makeup and photoshoot event that took place in their stylish shop.  Both are talented and inventive makeup artists, and the day was planned to get tons of images to add to their website and portfolios.

Avital’s models did two shoots.  The first was romantic; the second, exciting and inventive (like diamonds on a beautifully drawn red matte mouth).  Belle chose her artist friends as her models and did looks to capture their personalities – from playful to naughty to ’80s-inspired hard-edged.

I captured a few of the moments of the day and can’t wait to see the official images from the photographer.  It is definitely fun to be in the middle of the action, as adrenaline is pumping fast and everyone is focused on bringing the right look and mood to the camera.

Belle steps back to get inspiration.  See my quilt Cascade behind her?

Avital will do anything to make it happen!  She’s helping the photographer get the light just right.
